Marbella albergará el mayor templo Ortodoxo ruso de España - posiblemente.
Se trata del tercer templo de esta corriente cristiana de España gracias a la cesión del Ayuntamiento de 2519 metros de terreno - en trámite. Además del espacio reservado al culto el edificio contará con un centro social y cultural destinado a la comunidad rusa.
El proyecto está en manos de una fundación - Fundación Iniciativa Ortodoxa - y todavía está en fase embrionaria según informa La Opinión de Málaga.
El arquitecto Ignacio García será el encargado del diseño del templo y contará con el apoyo de un colega ruso "que es más conocedor de toda la simbología de este tipo de edificios religiosos". Con esta empresa se atiende a una fuerte demanda de la comunidad rusa en Marbella y la Costa del Sol.
Actualmente se está redactando el proyecto de este templo, que incluirá un centro social y cultural destinado a atender a la pujante comunidad rusa de Marbella y su entorno, así como la propia iglesia, que previsiblemente seguirá la estética clásica de los edificios religiosos rusos.
Este templo será el tercero que se construya en España, después de uno que hay en Alicante y otro que se está ejecutando en Madrid, en una parcela de 756 metros cuadrados bajo la advocación de la Iglesia de la Natividad de Cristo.
